VybeCheck (“we”, “us”) helps you see what spots feel like tonight and share quick vibe updates. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Short version

We collect the minimum needed to run the app (including location if you enable “Tonight” features). We don’t sell your personal information.

Information we collect

1) Information you provide

• Profile info: username, display name, optional bio, and optional avatar emoji/image (if you choose to add one).
  
  

• Content you submit: posts/vybes (e.g., venue, mood tag, emoji, crowd score, comment), and any replies or messages you send in-app (if applicable).
  
  

• Reports: when you report content, we collect the reported item ID, your anonymous user ID, the reason selected, and the time of the report.
  
  

2) Information collected automatically

• Device/app diagnostics: basic logs or performance data (where available) to help us fix bugs and improve reliability.
  
  

• App usage events: basic interactions (for example: opening the app, posting) to help us understand what’s working.
  
  

3) Location information

If you allow location access, we use it to:

• Show nearby venues and what’s happening “tonight”
  
  

• Enable location-based posting and venue activity
  
  

You can use parts of the app without location, but some features may not work.

How we use your information

We use information to:

• Provide and operate core features (feeds, venue pages, posting, your profile)
  
  

• Keep VybeCheck safe (handling reports, preventing abuse, investigating misuse)
  
  

• Improve the app (debugging, performance, feature improvements)
  
  

• Communicate with you when you contact support
  
  

How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the app:

• Service providers: infrastructure and analytics providers who help us host data and operate the app.
  
  

• Legal/safety: if required by law, or to protect users, the public, and the integrity of VybeCheck.
  
  

• Public content: your posts are visible to other users within the app. Your profile shows your chosen username/display name and any optional bio/avatar you add.
  
  

We do not sell your personal information.

Your choices & controls

• Location: you can change location permissions anytime in iOS Settings.
  
  

• Profile: you can edit your profile in the app.
  
  

• Delete your data: you can request deletion of your account and associated data (see Data Deletion page).
  
  

• Reports: you can report content in-app if something violates the guidelines.
  
  

Children’s privacy

VybeCheck is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We’ll update the effective date and post the new version here.
